"Most of what I really need to know about how to live, and what to do, and how to be...I learned in kindergarten."

~Robert Fulghum

Volunteers

I want to personally thank all my parent volunteers, including my HRH's for an awesome year of working, donating, and volunteering to your child's classroom and events.  I could not have done any of my planning and work without your help.  The graduation went off beautifully!  Being involved in your child's classroom has proven to help your child academically. Do not forget to log in any hours and/or donations.  Thanks again for making this year a successful one.  See you around the hallways of Bromley East next year!  :)

Please do not forget to record your volunteer hours.  All contributions, donations and time in and out of classroom count towards these hours.  Thanks again for all your time this year.  I surely appreciate it, and so do my students.

Thanks again to all mom and dad's (and grandma and grandpa's) who have volunteered in and out of the classroom.  Your contributions, donations and time have not go unnoticed.  Look for more information on how you can help the Kindergarten Graduation through our HRH's.

Here is an email from Traci Alvis who has organized the HRH's and Volunteers.  I emailed her about volunteer hours, and this is her response.  If there are any questions, please do not hestitate to contact her by email.

"I bet most of your parents have volunteered, but just did not know those hours counted. Here is a partial list of how to get volunteer hours":

~Helping in classroom: making copies, making decodeables, cutting laminating, helping with parties, stuffing Friday folders, bringing in treats for class parties (every $10 = 1 hour), attending field trips, donating supplies to classroom, working with students, etc.

~Helping PTO: working with Harvest Hop, working with Uniform swap, attending PTO meetings, donating for teacher meals (cost and time involved), helping with Snowflake Shop, helping with Family Nights, helping with Skate Nights, helping with Bromley Bolt, etc.

~Helping out BECS: lunchroom supervision, recess supervision, BECS Beautification, attending Board meetings, attending SAC meetings, attending Uniform meetings, donating monetary means, Sea Camp fundraisers, shoveling snow, etc.

"I am sure I have missed some ideas. I hope this has been helpful. If any parent needs help setting up their PTO Manger log in, go a head and give them my email address so I may help them out."
